Campfire Audio Dorado in-earphones
The Dorado features essentially a three driver hybrid design, using the Beryllium driver from the Lyra, combines with the dual armatures treble units from the Andromeda. The size is small and sleek, for a very light, secure fit with good isolation, especially with the included foam tips.
Dorado provide excellent clarity throughout, with nice weight to the bass and an improved treble clarity from the Lyra II. If you are after the ultimate in clarity, soundstage size, treble and vocal clarity and accuracy, we suggest the Andromeda, since those are its strengths. If you would like a little more bass weight with a smoother sound overall, the Dorado is going to be ideal. Also, if you have smaller ears, the Dorado housing size is quite small.
Campfire use a custom designed Tuned Acoustic Expansion Chamber to tune the armature drivers, instead of the plastic tubes most companies use. This provides Campfire models with a more natural sound. The housings are a beautiful finish they call Liquid Metal and provides an inert acoustic housing for the drivers.
Included accessories are the best we've seen - the case is gorgeous, included tips are the best quality available and the Campfire Litz cable is supple, soft silver coated copper with high quality connectors and a durable feel.
Easy to drive but not hyper efficient - just right; works great out of a phone or computer and you will head the improvement a good source makes, from a Dragonfly Red, to an AK player, ALO Continental Dual Mono or quality desktop dac. 1 year warranty.
