Grado Labs RS1x Reference series headphone uses new 50mm X Series drivers for improved performance with a more powerful magnet and lighter weight voice coil. These RS1x will please Grado fans with piles of detail, crunch and power in live music and improved dynamics and a slightly more even, balanced midrange and top end. You still get all of the detail you'd hope for but the possibility for sibilance has been dialed back.

RS1x new 50mm X drivers are housed in a hybrid triple wood housing. Grado fused and inner later of maple with a middle hemp layer, fronted by an outer layer of cocobolo to achieve the tuning they desired and reap the benefit of each of these materials' special effects on the music playback.

Cable is much improved with durable nylon braided wrap around 8 wire copper cables. Earpads are the reliable fitting L pads. Headband is leather with a bit more padding thatn in the past. It can still be bent / adjusted in shape to fit the contours of your head for improved comfort. RS1x are fairly easy to drive, so just feed them the cleanest headphone signal you can.
